Delta speaker celebrates monarch for strides - Punch Newspapers

The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Emomotimi Guwor, has lauded the Amaokosu of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Pere Monbene III, for the socioeconomic development strides in his domain since his ascension on the throne in the past 11 years. Guwor who is also the Chairman, Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, in a congratulatory message to the monarch on the occasion, described the 11-year reign of Pere Monbene III as “impactful, peaceful, and development-driven”. In a statement, the Speaker noted that Monbene III had remained a symbol of unity and cultural pride for the Ogbe-Ijoh people, the entire Ijaw Nation and Delta State at large. He added, “Your Majesty, your reign in the last eleven years has fostered peaceful coexistence among ethnic nationalities in your Kingdom and beyond. “You have led with rare humility, wisdom, patience and uncommon grace, deploying your exalted throne as a veritable platform for the promotion of culture, development and the dignity of your people,” Guwor stated. The Speaker prayed that God would continue to grant the monarch long life, sound health, divine wisdom and enduring grace to lead the Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom to greater heights of prosperity and honour.
