Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu on Tuesday launched a set of health initiatives under the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan', including an expanded ANMOL scheme, the headquarters of the State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (SOTTO), and a nursing home management system portal. Health Minister Pankaj Singh was also present at the launch programme held at Thyagraj Stadium.

The programme also included the disbursal of enhanced incentive amounts for ASHA workers. Their incentive has been raised from Rs 3,000 to Rs 6,000, a move that will provide financial support to Delhi's 6,690 ASHA workers and further strengthen door-to-door health services, according to a post by the Delhi Chief Minister's Office on X.

The SOTTO headquarters at GB Pant Hospital was also launched during the programme. It will coordinate the entire process of organ donation and transplantation and help ensure that timely assistance reaches patients in need.Under #SevaSankalpAbhiyan, key healthcare initiatives were launched at ASHA Sammelan 2026 in the presence of Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta and Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Shri Taranjit Singh Sandhu. Monthly incentives for 6,690 ASHA workers doubled from 3,000 to 6,000, strengthening doorstep healthcare. SOTTO inaugurated at GB Pant Hospital for better coordination of organ donation and transplantation. ANMOL expanded to provide free newborn screening for 56 health conditions, enabling early detection and treatment. This is aimed at enabling timely detection and treatment of genetic, metabolic and congenital diseases. The tests under the scheme will be completely free of cost.

The Nursing Home Management System portal will make processes related to nursing homes simpler, more transparent and more accountable, the CMO said. The chief minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Delhi government has resolved that health services become more accessible, health protection reaches every corner of society, and every hand engaged in service receives due respect. The initiatives launched on Tuesday were presented as part of that broader push to expand access to healthcare and improve delivery systems in the city.- Ends
