The House and Senate will have to figure out how to avoid yet another government shutdown on Dec. 11, extend farm and surface transportation laws, and pass the annual defense policy bill during their post-election sprint. Across the Capitol, House Speaker Mike Johnson has to decide how to handle a Senate-passed college sports bill that his members want to change.
