CM congratulates badminton team after bronze medal win

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay on Wednesday congratulated the Indian men’s badminton team for winning a bronze medal at the Asian Games being held in Japan.

The Chief Minister also congratulated Hariharan, who was part of the team, from Tamil Nadu. In recognition of his achievement, the Tamil Nadu government would provide Mr. Hariharan with a cash incentive of ₹30 lakh.

Mr. Hariharan, who had been receiving financial assistance under the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu’s ‘ELITE sportsperson scheme’, had achieved a feat that would serve as a great inspiration to the youth of Tamil Nadu.

The Tamil Nadu government will always stand by the dreams of sportspersons, Mr. Vijay said in a post on the social media platform X.
