Cleric urges Nigerians to value relationships - Punch Newspapers

Nigerians have been urged to place a high premium on relationships and value the people God brings into their lives at different stages. The Pastor of Victory Life Bible Church, Abeokuta, Apostle Lawrence Achudume, gave the charge at the 50th birthday celebration of the Chief Executive Officer of Pomegranate Nigeria Limited, Wole Elusakin, in Lagos. Achudume, according to a statement by DAL Strategic Communications on Tuesday, urged Nigerians not to take meaningful relationships for granted, noting that people could provide support, encouragement, counsel and opportunities at different stages of life. He said, “We must learn to value the relationships God brings into our lives. The people around us can provide support, encouragement, counsel and opportunities that can shape our journey.” Commending Elusakin for building relationships across different spheres of life, Achudume said good relationships could play a significant role in shaping an individual’s journey. Reacting to the surprise celebration, Elusakin said he was taken aback after discovering that an event he had been led to believe was a wedding was actually organised to mark his 50th birthday. He thanked God for the milestone and appreciated those who attended, particularly his family members for organising the surprise. Elusakin, who is in the logistics and transportation business, began his career with organisations including Honeywell Flour Mills, UAC Foods, Nestlé, Reckitt Benckiser and FanMilk before establishing Pomegranate Nigeria Limited.
