Cindy Crawford's son Presley Gerber dies at 27 - GMA Network

Cindy Crawford’s son, Presley Gerber, has died. He was 27 years old.

According to Los Angeles County Medical Examiner documents obtained by People Magazine, the model died on Sunday, September 20, at a rehab facility. TMZ was the first to report the news and said that an autopsy is yet to be completed.

“The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time,” a representative for Cindy, Presley’s father, businessman Rande Gerber, and sister and fellow model Kaia Gerber, told People Magazine.

Presley was born in Beverly Hills, California, in 1999. Like his mother and sister, he worked as a model, having signed with top agency IMG at 15 years old. He has modeled for brands like Moschino, Dolce and Gabbana, and Calvin Klein.

Prior to his death, Presley opened up about his struggles with mental health and substance abuse.

“[Mental health] is an issue. It is such a big part of my life. It’s a 24/7 job, and there’s so much to it,” Presley had said on the “Studio 22” podcast.

“That’s really what I want to do—help people, whether you’re depressed, you’re struggling with something that is having a negative effect on your body. I mean it could be anything, and there’s no judgment.”

Presley added that he hopes other people would not make the mistakes he did.

He also started posting “Mental Health Mondays” videos on his Instagram page, where he would talk about his journey.
