China's patent transfer and licensing maintain steady growth-Xinhua - 新华网

NANJING, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- China has continued to make progress in patent transformation and application, with patent transfer and licensing filings nationwide reaching 496,000 in the first three quarters of 2026, up 7.1 percent year on year.

The figures were released on Friday at the opening ceremony of the 15th China International Patent Fair in Wuxi, east China's Jiangsu Province. China's total imports and exports of intellectual property royalties reached 331.59 billion yuan (about 49.36 billion U.S. dollars), maintaining steady growth, according to authorities.

Patent trading and transformation are an important channel for realizing the value of intellectual property and a bridge linking scientific and technological innovation with industrial innovation.

This year's fair features more than 10 themed events to promote cooperation, trade and commercialization of patents. ■
