CDA official issued contempt notice
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Saturday initiated contempt of court proceedings against Capital Development Authority (CDA) Member Estate Muhammad Zaman Wattoo for allegedly failing to appear before the court on medical grounds, and appointed Deputy District Prosecutor Adnan Ali as prosecutor in the contempt case.
The court directed the CDA Member Estate to submit a written response to the contempt notice within seven days, explaining why contempt proceedings should not be initiated against him.
According to the court, Wattoo had been directed to appear in person on September 16.
