CBSE Class 10, 12 board datesheet 2027 out; exams begin Feb 16: Subject-wise dates

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Friday released the date sheet for the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations 2027. Examinations for both classes will begin on February 16, 2027, with all papers scheduled to start at 10:30 am (IST).

The date sheets have been released 101 days before the examinations begin. According to the CBSE notification dated November 6, students in Class 10 will appear in 83 subjects, while Class 12 students will take examinations in 121 subjects.

The board said the examination schedule was prepared after considering several factors, including gaps between papers in subjects commonly taken together by students, the schedules of major entrance examinations and the number of candidates appearing at each examination centre.

CBSE said it had also planned the schedule to minimise students' prolonged absence from schools during the evaluation process.

The board considered more than 40,000 subject combinations while preparing the date sheets to ensure that examinations for any two subjects opted for by a student do not fall on the same day.

The notification said the schedule was finalised after the submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) by schools was completed. The board now has the final data on subject combinations selected by students.
