COTABATO CITY, Philippines – Bangsamoro Federalist Party (BFP) bet Prince Khalid Tomawis has won the Bangsamoro parliamentary electoral race in the 1st District of Maguindanao del Norte.

The province is the bailiwick of the Bangsamoro Federalist Party (BFP), which is led by former acting Maguindanao del Norte governor and Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao interim Chief Minister Abdulraof β€œSammy Gambar” Macacua.

The Commission on Elections proclaimed Tomawis as the winning candidate past 2:51 pm on Tuesday, September 15, after he received 41,137 votes. He is the son of the late former Barira mayor Alexander Tomawis and former Buldon mayor Fatima Ruth Tomawis.

The BFP bet’s defeated Abdulkudos Pendatu Balitok, former base commander of the Bangsamoro Islamic Armed Forces of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF).

Balitok ran under the banner of the United Bangsamoro Justice Party, the MILF’s political party. – Rappler.com
