Benue victims allege helicopter presence during attack as bandits kill Kebbi village head - The Guardian Nigeria News

Residents of Sai community in Benue State, where two persons were reportedly killed during an alleged terrorist attack over the weekend, have claimed the presence of a helicopter soon after the attack.

Though the Public Relations Officer of the state police command, Peter Orchia, told The Guardian that he could not confirm the number of casualties, a resident identified Mr UpaaIkyaave and Boiyo Tyonor as victims.

However, residents told newsmen that some hours after the attack, an aircraft appeared over Sai community for an unknown unknown, stating that an aircraft was similarly sighted over Ayilamo, where six policemen and no fewer than seven civilians were recently killed within one week by suspected terrorists.

In another development, suspected bandits have reportedly killed the village head of Lafagu, in Bagudo Local Council Area of Kebbi State, Sa’idu Mujeli.

Disclosing the incident in a post on his X handle, crisis reporter in the Northwest region, Bakatsine, said that Mujeli also known as Sarkin Lafagu, was killed during an attack on the community on Saturday morning.
