Bengaluru woman's Goa trip becomes blessing in disguise for stranger who lost it all

A holiday in Goa took an emotional turn for a Bengaluru-based social worker when she met a stranger who had lost his livelihood and was struggling to make ends meet.

Instead of simply going past, she stopped to hear his story, offered him food and extended a helping hand that left him in tears.

Nischitha Naren, a National Award winner for social welfare, shared a video of the encounter on Instagram. She spoke to a man identified as Dhyaneshwar, who opened up about how his life took a difficult turn.

Originally from Maharashtra, Dhyaneshwar had travelled to Goa hoping to build a business. However, after suffering heavy losses, he said he was left with nothing and eventually found himself living on the streets.

As he recounted his ordeal, Dhyaneshwar appeared overwhelmed with emotion. Nischitha listened to him and offered practical help, giving him her phone number and asking him to get in touch if he needed assistance finding a job.

She also noticed that he was hungry and arranged food for him. In the video, she was seen encouraging him to have a proper meal.

The interaction became heart-wrenching as Dhyaneshwar struggled to hold back his tears while accepting her help.

Sharing the video, Nischitha summed up the experience with a simple message: “Not every trip is about beaches. Sometimes it’s about the people God sends your way.”

She also shared Dhyaneshwar’s contact number in the comments section, hoping that someone else might be able to offer him an employment opportunity or other assistance.

The video has since gone viral, with viewers appreciating Nischitha Naren for taking the time to listen to a stranger in distress and helping him in a tangible way.
