Assam driver loses control of pickup van, vehicle crashes into scooter and overturns

A goods-laden pickup van overturned onto a scooter rider near Bogibeel Bridge in Dibrugarh, Assam, leaving two people critically injured.

The pickup van was carrying goods when its driver reportedly lost control while travelling along the road. The vehicle then overturned, landing on a scooter rider who was passing by.

A video of the incident, recorded on the dashcam of a vehicle travelling behind the pickup van, showed it speeding along the road before the driver appeared to lose control.

The van began swerving from side to side before crashing into a motorcycle travelling on the opposite side of the road. The impact caused the van to overturn and roll onto the motorcycle.

Following the accident, two people were taken to Dibrugarh Medical College and Hospital for treatment. Doctors said both were in critical condition.
