Asian Games: PH's MMA bet Carlos Alvarez bags bronze medal after semis exit - GMA Network
Carloz Alvarez settled for a bronze medal after losing to Kazakhstan's Yerkingali, 0-3, in the semifinals of the men's traditional -77kg in the 2026 Asian Games on Monday.
Alvarez thus delivered the country's second medal after the women's soft tennis team clinched a bronze medal in the team event on Sunday.

Alvarez defeated Ananda Wahyu Setyo Prabowo in the quarterfinals with a 3-0 win to reach the semifinals, but ran out of gas to end his gold medal dreams.
But the Philippines is still in contention for a gold medal in the mixed martial arts event with Filipino bet Jean Claude Saclag advancing to the finals following a 3-0 win over home bet Daisuke Murayama of Japan in the semis.
Saclag will take on Otabek Rajabov of Tajikistan in the gold medal round set on Tuesday.
