Andhra University leads in NSS activities

Andhra University has emerged as a role model in the National Service Scheme (NSS) activities in the State, said NSS State Officer M. Sudhakar at an NSS Day programme held at the university on Thursday.

He said: “Andhra Pradesh had conducted the highest number of special service camps in the country last year, and the Andhra University accounted for the highest number in the State.” He urged NSS volunteers to register their details on the My Bharat portal.

Arts and Commerce College principal Jaladi Ravi asked volunteers to actively respond during disasters. NSS coordinator D. Simhachalam presided. University and district-level awards were presented to programme officers and volunteers.
