AI query on 'how to kill' fictional character lands youth in trouble

What began as a fictional murder plot for a crime story landed a PECHS resident in the middle of a real-life investigation after his questions to an artificial intelligence platform were flagged as suspicious and reportedly shared with America's Federal Bureau of Investigation. The young man was scripting a fictional scenario in which a police officer had allegedly insulted his father when he turned to AI for advice on what action could be taken against the character, including asking how the fictional victim could be killed, according to National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA). The queries were flagged by the platform's safety system on September 4 as suspicious. The information was subsequently passed to the FBI, which shared it with Pakistani authorities, prompting the NCCIA to detain the youth. During the investigation, the youth told authorities that no such incident involving his father had actually occurred and that he had no plans to kill anyone. He said he had been working on a fictional crime story that he had created himself.
