A man has been charged over the alleged stalking, choking and sexual assault of a woman at a park in Sydney's west.
NSW Police said a 23-year-old woman was walking from Flemington Station through Airey Park in Homebush about 11:15pm on September 18 when an unknown man stopped her.
Officers were told the woman was restrained and dragged into nearby bushland, where the man allegedly sexually assaulted her.
She left the scene a short time later.
About 8:50am on Thursday, detectives executed a search warrant in Padstow and took a 27-year-old man into custody.
Police also seized items from the property for forensic testing.

Sex Crimes Squad commander Detective Superintendent Virginia Gorman said police would allege the attack was "a bit of a cross between planning and opportunity".
"Being knocked down on the street is a woman's fear, it should be every person's fear, that kind of violence against you randomly in the street," she said.
Superintendent Gorman said the woman reported the incident two days later, after speaking with family and friends.
She said this was common for women from non-English speaking backgrounds.
He was scheduled to face Bankstown Local Court on Friday.
