5 players Broncos could ship out before NFL trade deadline - Broncos Wire
As the Denver Broncos approach the NFL trade deadline (Nov. 10) with a 6-2 record, they are more likely to be buyers than sellers. That said, the club has several players scheduled to become free agents in 2027 who could fetch a draft pick from other clubs this fall.
While outgoing trades seem unlikely for Denver, they can't be ruled out. So we've put together a quick list of five Broncos players who could draw interest from other clubs leading up to the trade deadline. Note that the listed players are just our speculation, not a report of players being on the trade block.
5. DE Jordan Jackson: Denver carries seven defensive linemen despite running a 3-4 defense. Zach Allen, Malcolm Roach, D.J. Jones and Eyioma Uwazurike lead the way with Sai'vion Jones and Jackson rotating in behind them (rookie Tyler Onyedim is still waiting for his NFL debut). Jackson has played 31 snaps this season and while the Broncos don't need to trade him, they certainly have the depth to replace him if another club comes calling.
4. G Ben Powers: Shipping out Powers would only make sense if Denver brings in a new guard. Quenton Nelson is no longer an option, but ESPN has floated Philadelphia Eagles guard Landon Dickerson as a potential target for the Broncos. If Denver opts to bring in a new guard, it would make sense to flip Powers for a draft pick.
3. CB Riley Moss: Jahdae Barron and Kris Abrams-Draine have played well when called upon this season, and Ja'Quan McMillian should be a priority to re-sign before his contract expires in 2027. If the Broncos plan to let Moss walk next offseason and replace him with Barron, trading him now could be an option.
2. WR Marvin Mims: Denver coach Sean Payton can talk about getting Mims more involved on offense all day, but the fact remains that Mims is underutilized on offense. He's an All-Pro returner, but the Broncos have other capable returners as well. Once again, if the plan is to let Mims walk as a free agent in 2027, Denver could listen to trade offers for him now.
1. RB J.K. Dobbins: Similar to Powers, trading Dobbins would only make sense if the Broncos bring in a starting-caliber running back like Jonathan Taylor, Breece Hall or Tony Pollard to pair with Jonah Coleman. If Denver upgrades the running back position, Dobbins would likely be open to a fresh start elsewhere.
