3 ex-Broncos quarterbacks thriving with their teams this season - Broncos Wire

Add Case Keenum to the list of former Denver Broncos quarterbacks finding success with other teams this fall.

Keenum, who went 6-10 as a starter with the Broncos in 2018, filled in for injured Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams on Monday and helped Chicago to a 27-7 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Keenum completed 70.6% of his passes for 247 yards with three total touchdowns, and the Bears now have to decide if they'll stick with the veteran or go back to youngster Tyson Bagent until Williams returns.

Elsewhere in the NFC, after stepping in for an injured Sam Darnold and helping the Seattle Seahawks secure a win in Week 1, Drew Lock started in Week 2 and helped Seattle win again. Lock, who was Denver's second-round pick in the 2019 NFL draft, completed 72.9% of his passes for 422 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions while filling in for Darnold, who returned from injury in Week 3.

Meanwhile, in Canada, Chad Kelly is currently leading the CFL with 5,067 passing yards and 33 touchdowns. Kelly's Toronto Argonauts have already clinched a playoff spot with a 9-6 record. Kelly signed with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss in 2017. He's played in the CFL since 2022 and has a Most Outstanding Player award and two Grey Cup championships on his résumé.
