According to the police, a raid at Sonpalli village in Ichoda mandal led to the seizure of 98 cannabis plants being cultivated in the backyard of a house belonging to Todasam Muyya, 78. The police booked him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

In another case, police seized 24 cannabis plants being cultivated in a cotton field at Rampur village in Gadiguda mandal.

A case under the NDPS Act was registered against the cultivator, Gedam Rajeshwar, 38, of Rampur.
